What will your typical day look like?

 

Deloitte’s Startegic Communications team is rapidly expanding, and we are looking for team members to help us drive our continued growth. As a member of our team, you will work in a fast-growing and rewarding environment, engage with high-profile clients, and help develop innovative, strategic communication solutions for companies across Canada. 

About the team

 

Led by investor relations and communications leaders with decades of corporate experience, Deloitte has world-class capabilities in investor relations and stakeholder communications, spanning from advisory services on strategy, construction of the investor and stakeholder narrative, as well as support on capital markets and broader stakeholder connectivity.
Whether it is supporting earnings announcements dealing with specific issues, or a broader strategy on stakeholder engagement, Deloitte can support its clients in a meaningful way. As part of the team, your role will focus on assisting in the planning and execution of a variety of client-based projects, including: 


•    developing investor relations and broad stakeholder communication programs,
•    building and implementing cross-stakeholder narratives for overall company stakeholder value creation (i.e., strategy evolution/repositioning, ESG programs),
•    executing capital markets/stakeholder engagement strategies and investor events (i.e., investor days, AGMs),
•    assisting with IPOs,
•    data-driven communications analysis,
•    transaction, crisis, issues management, disruptive events,
•    integrated reporting <IR>,
•    media relations.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

 

 You are someone with: 


•    At least 10-15 years of relevant work experience in developing successful, proactive Investor Relations strategies or stakeholder engagement programs and drafting communication materials
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
•    An undergraduate university degree - a focus on business, finance or communications would be preferred
•    Strong proficiency in the entire Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint 
•    Extensive project management experience
•    Team leadership/ mentorship experience Working knowledge of ESG guidelines, strategy and communications would be an asset
