The Data Strategy & Governance Senior Manager role is a unique role that will drive immediate and global impact to help lead the development and deployment of data products in the new Data Strategy & Governance Office (DSGO) at Deloitte Global.
In this role, you will lead the design and deployment of new data products and platforms and align technology and operational teams to effectively deliver across the Deloitte network globally. In collaboration with leaders across the organization, you will align strategic objectives of the firm to mature internal data capabilities. As the leader of the portfolio, you will create product and service offering roadmaps through the identification of new opportunities across member firms for geo-specific requirements, and grow the portfolio as our external environment changes and new emerging technologies become available.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data, business or technology product leadership. The candidate will shape our evolving product strategy and effectively navigate a “ground up” build of a new portfolio in the organization and scale the portfolio. The candidate will facilitate product development through an iterative approach, managing several products concurrently to achieve well-defined business outcomes. The candidate will provide evidence-based support for product recommendations and strategies, provide thought leadership across the organization, and successfully influence executive and operational stakeholders.
Role and Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of new products and supporting operational activities in collaboration with stakeholders across the organization, aligning with strategic objectives to mature internal data capabilities
- Lead the development of product and service offering roadmaps through identification of new opportunities across member firms to align product offerings with geo-specific requirements, and manage product enhancements to evolve as new emerging technologies become available
- Monitor market trends and the external landscape through analysis of data and technology vendor offerings, competitive intelligence, and innovation news
- Manage the successful deployment and adoption of products and services by pro-actively identifying and resolving issues, designing support processes to manage the post-implementation phase, and utilizing a change management methodology to sustain adoption
- Identify and execute recovery models (e.g., chargeback, cost transfer) with consumers of products and services, and monitor forecasts, budget/expense management in partnership with Finance
- Monitor and report progress with metrics designed to measure key outcomes of product and service offerings with accountability for addressing gaps and remediations necessary for improvement
About the team
The DSGO is responsible for building an integrated strategy and operating model to effectively and consistently manage global data throughout its lifecycle to more effectively serve our clients, meet business objectives and foster innovation. The team is leading various initiatives to develop a data strategy and establish data practices and products that serve the needs of the Deloitte network globally, enabled by technology. The team reports to the Chief Transformation Officer.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
Do you possess the following?:
- 10+ years of experience in managing digital or data products and services in large organizations with responsibility for design, deployment, and adoption
- Expertise and hands-on experience designing, optimizing, and scaling products and services while navigating ambiguity and emerging opportunities
- Experience with data strategy, digital technologies, and product disciplines including product design, backlog management, roadmap development, user experience and quality assurance
- Experience managing transformation programs using change methodologies to execute efforts with broad and diverse stakeholder groups at the executive and operational levels
- Experience developing and managing performance metrics including operational, financial, and product-specific metrics
- Experience managing or deploying data products and platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Informatica IDMC, Microsoft Co-Pilot, data models, and data visualization tools
- Experience developing products with large language models (Llama, PaLM) is preferred but not required
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $104,000 - $215,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
