What will your typical day look like?

The Onboarding Senior Consultant within People Experience provides support to deliver the firm’s immersive, seamless, digital, “wow” experience where newcomers are valued, connected, and empowered to serve the firm and our clients. To achieve this, you will:

•    Support the implementation of a compelling new joiner year-1 onboarding journey, from pre-boarding to their first anniversary – enabling an exceptional employee experience;
•    Coordinate and administer efficient and effective operational HR activities including organizing and facilitating virtual new hire orientation;
•    Support the maintenance of thought ware to support successful management of onboarding activities;
•    Work as part of a cross-functional team across the culture & people function to achieve our operational and strategic priorities;
•    Apply your HR knowledge to solve non-standard problems for internal clients; 
•    Provide subject matter expertise and quality review work created by the General Inquiry Services team when required;
•    Respond to and redirect HR inquiries appropriately. 
•    Identify enhancements in support of creating efficiencies;
•    Provide support for employees as they begin and while they are on parental or illness leaves, including frequent points of communication;
•    Additional duties and participation in projects as required.
 

About the team

Join the People Experience team! People Experience delivers HR inquiry, specialized, advisory, and people leader services from a centralized function to support employees, provide a scalable platform to respond to changing business needs, and drive continuous improvement across the Culture and People Office function. The team is a steward of the employee experience, delivering the end-to-end talent lifecycle through defined processes that are standard for all business segments, and establishing Program Services to support complex, escalated, or strategic process/cycle needs.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone who has:

•    A relevant Degree (CHRP designation is an asset);
•    4 – 5 years HR experience, with demonstrated knowledge of human resource functions (e.g. performance management, talent development, policy development, succession planning, compensation, onboarding or recruitment strategy);
•    Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, which you use to forge strong connections and work collaboratively across all levels of the firm; 
•    Proven experience using data and analytics to provide insights, analyze trends and support leaders to make decisions;
•    Effective writing and editing skills and the ability to prepare clear and compelling presentation materials and reports in support of HR activities;
•    High degree of empathy, ability to maintain confidentiality and the ability to effectively leverage centers of expertise to meet business requirements;
•    Passionate about the employee experience, approaching the challenge from a user-centric design perspective, and bringing fresh ideas and creative thinking to the table; 
•    Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
•    Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
•    Experience with HRIS (PeopleSoft), ATS (SuccessFactors) and Case Management system (ServiceNow) is an asset.
