Roles and Responsibilities:

· Plan and conduct different sprint ceremonies activities Sprint planning sessions, backlog grooming sessions, build/ acceptance demos, sprint retrospectives, and daily stand-up meetings.

· Identify and remove impediments and blockers that prevent the teams from delivering their sprint goals.

· Monitor the progress of the story cards, and team performance throughout the life of the project.

· Work closely with product owner/product manager to effectively create, maintain, and refine the product backlog.

· Motivate the team members and turn them into a high-performing team.

· Continuous improvement to increase the productivity of the team members and quality of deliverables.

· Monitor and manage project scope and deliverables.

· Manage expectations with team members and other stakeholders on the deliverables and timelines.

· Have the team stay focused & organized and make the team’s work visible and transparent to stakeholders by showcasing the functionality during the sprint reviews.

· Proactively managing and communicating the impact of changes on teams’ velocity and their predictability.

· Ensure the Agile Scrum processes are followed where appropriate and work around them when necessary.

· Manage the dependencies and coordinate work with other internal or external teams to make sure these dependencies do not impede the work.

· Assess and Plan new initiatives when needed.


Qualification Requirements and other skills:

· 6+ years’ experience as a Scrum Master, Software Project / Program Delivery, or similar roles delivering medium-to-large scale projects.

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science.

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail.

· Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, confluence, etc.

· Good understanding and experience with various Agile Methodologies.

· Experience working in multi-vendor engagement projects.

· Demonstrated effective leadership, analytical skills, and problem solving skills.

· Required – Experience with Agile.

· Software development experience is an advantage.

· Insurance industry experience is an advantage.

· Preferable Guidewire functional/technical experience.
