The Quality & Risk – ACE Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the quality of audit client and engagement acceptances and that they are properly documented and monitored in our databases. The role will involve communicating with engagement teams, audit partners and National leaders to clarify facts and circumstances and to confirm appropriate approvals are obtained in accordance with our policies. The role will involve conducting research on clients using various internal and external sources (i.e. CRM, Sedar, Edgar, Audit Analytics, etc.). This role will also involve various other activities to support the Quality & Risk Group on a project basis or as needed.

About the team

Under Deloitte's Risk Management Program, we will only accept and retain A&A Clients and Engagements with an acceptable level of risk.
It also ensures that professionals with the appropriate skills, experience and expertise are matched with the risk associated with A&A Clients and Engagements. A CAEA (Client Acceptance Engagement Acceptance) is our tool to document regulatory and business risk decisions in accepting a client and engagement; if not done correctly and at the proper time, this could put the firm at risk. The Audit Client and Engagement (ACE) data governance team is charged with ensuring that each CAEA meets the requirements, including the appropriate documentation, checks and approvals depending on the scenario. Once approved, the ACE team enters the CAEA information in our Audit Public Database (APDB) and monitors the information to ensure data accuracy in the APDB reports distributed to various key stakeholders.
