What will your typical day look like?

Deloitte strives to increase the number of alumni on influential boards and thus elevating our boardroom impact and engagement, reinforcing our eminence profile, and maximizing our brand impact.

To help us achieve this aspiration, we are working to better support our Partners to develop ‘board readiness’ in preparation for non-executive director (NED) roles thru a Global Board Readiness (GBR) program.  The Global Board Readiness Senior Staff member will join at an exciting time for a global program which will benefit our most senior leaders.

The GBR Senior Staff member will be responsible for program, stakeholder, and strategic project management. Activities will include identifying areas of improvement for the Board Readiness Development Journey (BRDJ); supporting Deloitte member firms/geographies to activate key program elements; managing aspects of the Global Board Readiness Global Track; liaising with stakeholders; preparing for executive report-outs; and supporting the broader Board Readiness community of practice.

The GBR program appeals to our most senior Deloitte member firm and business leaders as stakeholders and participants, creating a unique opportunity for you to gain exposure to Deloitte’s most senior leaders.

  • Manage stakeholders and build relationships: Develop and maintain key relationships with Deloitte member firm board readiness teams, as well as our own Global | People team, through the Global Board Readiness Community of Practice (GBRCOP)
  • Create materials aligned with Global Board Readiness (GBR) Global and Local Tracks: Participate in the working group leveraging experience/skills in relationship building, needs assessment, creating/sourcing relevant materials, facilitation, and activation support
  • Boardroom trends and innovation: stay up-to-date on boardroom trends and best practices—incorporating innovative ideas into Global and Local Track programs
  • Communications: Develop and deliver creative and effective communication campaigns to communicate value and engage leaders and partners on Board Readiness topics
  • Support Global Board Readiness Global Track program delivery:
    • Maintain Global Board Readiness Global Track program calendar, track nomination and participant lists, support kick-off calls and administer pre- and post-program assessments
    • Leverage network relationships to support non-executive director (NED) opportunity sharing for Deloitte Global roles and for local Deloitte member firm roles, where no local point of contact (POC) exists
    • Draft status updates, program metrics and materials for executive stakeholders, including aggregating Deloitte member firm/geography data to enable global reporting
    • Design and deliver program communications campaigns and materials
  • Support Deloitte member firms and geographies to deliver key elements of Board Readiness Local Track:
    • Manage Global Board Readiness Community of Practice (GBRCOP), including preparing agendas and on-screen slides, taking notes, and supporting delivery of follow-up actions/materials
    • Maintain intranet and SharePoint materials, administering user groups
    • Serve as back-up to the GBR Program Leader as point of contact for questions from Deloitte member firms
    • Participate in 1:1 calls with individual Deloitte member firms/geos as a trusted business advisor in support of local delivery of standard program elements
