What will your typical day look like?

 

As a Manager, you will be a critical leader on our team delivering strategy and business design projects with our Technology, Media & Entertainment, Telecommunications, and Sports clients. You will assume day-to-day leadership roles in the delivery of projects including overseeing qualitative and quantitative analyses, preparing client deliverables, managing client relationships, and leading project team members. 


In addition to project delivery, Managers are expected to contribute to the firm’s growth and development by:

 

  • Leading project scoping, planning, and facilitating buy-in of proposed solutions from client executives
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, participating in business development activities, and being an active member of pursuit teams leading proposal development
  • Applying industry knowledge and expertise to develop Deloitte “point of view” content and supporting industry events sponsored by the firm.

The Strategy and Business Design practice (Monitor Deloitte) works with the world’s leading Technology, Media & Entertainment, Telecommunications, and Sports industry organizations to address issues that are most important to them—often working to resolve the highest-order strategic choices that fundamentally affect the future direction of their organizations and the industry. We not only bring our clients the insights and unconventional thinking that help them form strategies to anticipate risk and respond to change — we also use our experience and knowledge to help them bring those strategies to life. The team brings deep expertise across Technology, Media & Entertainment, Telecommunications, and Sports sectors to help clients address top management issues involving corporate / business unit strategy, customer strategy, innovation, and business transformation. Across all these areas, we help organizations with change management and build leadership competencies within our clients.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

 

As a Manager, you must have:

 

  • A minimum 5 years of cumulative experience in Technology, Media & Entertainment, Telecommunications, Sports, and / or Strategy Consulting
  • Strong academic record, Bachelor’s degree is a requirement and Master’s degree in Business Administration, Strategy, or related field is beneficial
  • Experience in strategy, innovation, data, and business transformation
  • Experience in business development and delivering the full cycle of project management accountabilities
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian Technology, Media & Entertainment, and Telecommunications industries
  • Strong understanding of the Canadian Sports industry
  • Strong understanding of what strategy is: “a set of choices made with intent to gain competitive advantage”
  • Ability to receive direction from senior leaders, and disseminate and manage tasks and activities of junior team members
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment 
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems and synthesize that analysis into coherent narratives
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills (e.g., financial analysis, business-casing, ability to work with large/complex data sets)
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Proficiency working with the Microsoft suite (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to travel within Canada and internationally on client assignments

Total Rewards


The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $175,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
