The Business Operations group is seeking a Business Operations Coordinator for our downtown Toronto office.

We are looking for an energetic, hospitality-oriented Client Experience Professional to bring our client experience to life.  The candidate must be detail-oriented, proactive and should be able to work independently, multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will play a key role in providing hospitality, customer and room booking services to our clients and internal staff.

What will your typical day look like?

The Business Operations Coordinator is responsible for working with the Business Operations Manager, Workflow Coordinator, Receptionist, and various service delivery teams to oversee, maintain and ensure the smooth and efficient day to day operations of Deloitte’s offices.  

This role performs general clerical duties and tasks requiring attention to detail, accuracy, and precision.  Duties are performed in accordance with established office routines and operations.  
The individual is expected to have knowledge of a general office environment, typical office practices and procedures prior to entering position.  Practical knowledge is required for delivering excellent office support services including Project room reservation coordination, light administration, floor support, facilities services, and providing excellent customer service. 

  • Provide Coordination and be the main point of contact for high level chargeable Project Space at Toronto Downtown office
  • Responsible for Project Space reservations via internal booking system and coordination in overall program
  • Providing continuous improvements to program and oversight on general upkeep of the Project floor
  • Act as a liaison with various Deloitte Departments – Security, Catering, Furniture set up team, Accounting for monthly chargeback and Business Operations Coordinators, Manager and Director 
  • Provide Project Room Hosts with exceptional communications via email and provide front facing customer service support to assist with their Project needs 
  • Other responsibilities include: Coordination of New Hire tours and communications. Becoming an expert in Qualtrics Surveys for Management team (Training Provided)

About the team

The members of the Business Operations team possess a practical body of knowledge that is applied in the delivery of office support. It includes jobs in the areas of procurement, mailroom, concierge, delivery and distribution, reception, records, hoteling resource management and facilities management.  The Business Operations role draws upon knowledge of the specific function discipline and the organization's business practices providing services to ensure the safe, efficient and effective operation of the organization.

You are someone with:

  • 1-2 years of work experience in customer service, event services, hospitality, or a facilities environment is an asset
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Dynamic organizational skills willing and able to work with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to multi-task and be a team player
  • Able to lift 30lbs when required.
