This is a fixed-term 6 month role with Deloitte Global (DTTL) ideal for individuals who would like to gain global experience. Due to the global nature of this role, relocation is not required, nor supported.

What will your typical day look like?

The role works directly with the Director responsible for driving the T&L Innovation program in implementing related workstreams in our Innovation and Transformation strategy.

In this role, you’ll use your skills and experience to: 

  • Work to execute Innovation strategic priorities and initiatives, aligned with the Global Tax & Legal Transformation agenda, including driving Radical Efficiencies, Client Experience and Big New Plays.
  • Drive digitalization of our Global Offerings in collaboration with Strategy, Transformation and Technology functions by identifying areas for asset enablement and acceleration.
  • Manage and nurture various global Tax & Legal Innovation Communities to promote ideation, experimentation, knowledge-sharing across the network in key digital innovation themes (e.g. AI, Remote Working) and Digital Transformation.
  • Collaborate with GT&L Chief Technology Office and Global Asset Program CoE to actively manage and monitor the Global T&L Asset Portfolio, leveraging the community of T&L innovation SMEs and CTOs to feed into the global pipeline and inventory.
  • Support the advancement of our T&L sensing strategy and program by collaborating with Marketing on building relevant and timely collateral with innovation leaders, specialists and the cross-business sensing program.
  • Shape the development and management of our T&L Alliances & Ecosystems strategy, including startup venturing and exploring new business relationships, and running third party pilots.
  • Coach asset teams and act as a design champion for the use of a design and lean methodology-based digital approach to ideation which will help accelerate and scale innovation within the organization.
  • Facilitate the sharing of ideas and assets across the global network via existing and emerging technologies, communities, and platforms.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with:

  • Bachelor’s Degree;  MBA is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience preferably in areas such as: project management, design thinking, innovation management, strategic planning, competitive strategy, scenario planning, and/or Strategy & Operations consulting (with top tier consulting firm), and/or new product development or new business development
  • Interest and intellectual curiosity regarding innovation, exponential technologies, ecosystems, and driving value through relationships
  • Taking a human-centered approach, building strong relationships and networks and spotting connections and parallels to inform the bigger picture
  • Excellent organization and program and project management skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level writing and presentation skills; demonstration of strategic judgment
  • Consultative mindset, ability to navigate ambiguous circumstances and complex structures
  • Diplomacy, poise, maturity, empathy and a great sense of humor are all key attributes for success


Additional requirements:

  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Comfort working autonomously in a virtual global team environment, including self-discipline and time management skills
  • Ability to travel (<10%) [All meetings are virtual at this time in accordance with COVID-19 travel policies.]
  • No relocation is required or offered. This role supports a global initiative, which can be performed virtually, and as such candidates can be based in several locations across our network
