We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our FSI Regulatory Compliance team. In this role, you will be responsible for controls design, documentation & performing control testing. You will work closely with FSI clients to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
About the team
We are the one of the largest Risk and Regulatory practices in Canada. The FSI Regulatory practice helps our clients understand and comply with evolving regulatory requirements, using cutting-edge technology and resources to innovate and drive impactful solutions. We support clients by developing proactive, forward-looking assessments of regulatory trends and their impact on business models. We have extensive experience that we draw upon daily to make a meaningful impact in the financial services industry and shape the future of regulatory risk management.
What will your typical day look like?
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead controls design and documentation.
- Perform detailed controls testing and compliance assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
- Develop and execute testing plans, including walkthroughs, control design assessments, and operational effectiveness testing.
- Identify control deficiencies, assess their impact, and provide recommendations for remediation.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, summarizing findings and recommendations.
- Stay current with industry regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance and provide informed guidance to clients.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA) is preferred but not required.
- 1-2 years of experience in controls testing, reporting, risk management for financial services industries.
- Strong understanding of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO, COBIT) and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, OSFI, CIRO).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in data analytics and audit software tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to client service.
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $125,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
