What will your typical day look like?

Our mission is to use data and analytics to deliver value for our clients. Our team understands exactly how data underpins a business and how improving the management, use and insight from this data improves performance and reduces risk. We also help clients manage the new risks and safely leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning. For this role, we are seeking Consultant or Senior Consultant who will help deliver on our ambitious plans to grow our practice. 

 

We are seeking an experienced professional with an experience in Data and AI, with a strong focus on responsible AI, data & AI risk management, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of generating and managing a portfolio of AI enablement services. This role includes developing and nurturing client relationships, leading project teams, coaching and mentoring professionals, and maintaining a continuous focus on personal and professional growth. The role will have full life-cycle responsibility over Responsible AI, strategy, and AI Risk, including identifying opportunities, proposal development, project delivery, team leadership, and ensuring the quality of project deliverables. 

 

The successful candidate will have responsibility to: 

  • Develop governance frameworks, policies, and processes to uphold ethical principles and mitigate risks associated with AI systems.
  • Conduct AI ethics risk assessments to identify potential issues related to bias, privacy, security, transparency, and other ethical concerns across the AI lifecycle.
  • Advise on strategies to ensure AI systems are transparent, explainable, fair, accountable, and aligned with human values.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including data scientists, engineers, legal experts, and business stakeholders to integrate ethical considerations into AI initiatives.
  • Stay updated on emerging AI ethics regulations, standards, and best practices from governing bodies and industry groups.
  • Provide training and guidance to AI teams on ethical AI development, deployment, and monitoring practices.
  • Conduct Trustworthy AI/ Bias audits and impact assessments to evaluate AI system trustworthiness and adherence to ethical guidelines.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to leadership on enhancing AI governance and trustworthiness.
  • Ensure the highest levels of quality in project deliverables, maintaining the standards expected of a leading professional services firm.
  • Have a clear understanding of the firm's commitment to creating a more inclusive culture.

About the team

We are the one of the largest Risk Advisory practices in Canada. Our Data and Analytics team is a key capability within Risk Advisory. We are a growing team with initiatives across multiple industries and use cases. We support organizations with all aspects of data and analytics related to risk management. We aim to bring recognized value to each engagement; be it setting up a program to deliver on long term strategic objectives or solutioning for tactical needs under demanding timelines. We have extensive experience that we draw upon daily and are always looking to the future and innovative solutions and opportunities.

In this role, the expected qualifications are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Technology Entrepreneurship, Computer Science, Data Science, or Machine Learning.
  • Foundational knowledge of AI technologies, machine learning, data science, and their applications.
  • Understanding of policy, regulatory advancements, principles, and frameworks related to AI ethics and responsible AI development.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to AI ethics and governance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams. 
  • Contributions to research, open consultations on AI projects, publications, or participation in AI ethics organizations that can demonstrate practical experience.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, structured problem-solving skills and logical thinking, as well as ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions.
  • Ability to stay updated with industry trends and AI regulatory requirements, and quickly adapt to new technologies.
  • Team player with the ability to work in a hybrid model (on-site and remote).
     

Total Rewards


The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $125,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
