What will your typical day look like?

 

As the Cloud Developer - AWS you will develop and extend Cloud automation using a combination of RESTful APIs, serverless functions, and event-driven architecture.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that cloud solutions adhere to governance, security, and compliance controls, as well as best practices. Translate control frameworks such as ISO27001 and SOC2 into technological policy solutions.
  • Create infrastructure as code templates and orchestration to deliver consistent, secure environments.
  • Be a trusted advisor for Cloud Engineering and Architecture. You should have a foundational understanding of IaaS and PaaS services offered on cloud platforms and understand how to use them together to build solutions.
  • Provide operational assistance to support the larger needs of the organization.
  • Be a trusted automation and tooling advisor for DevOps initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights and advice.
  • Execute in several discipline areas to achieve project objectives. Ensure deliverables are completed within target timeframes and are consistently of high quality.
  • Utilization of CI\CD tooling such as Azure DevOps, Github, etc.. and creating pipelines for automated build and releases.
  • Occasionally provide after-hours on-call support.

Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or relevant experience and accomplishments.
  • At least 1 year of development experience on a major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Hands on experience working with AWS (Lambda, Fargate), GCP (OS Config, Cloud Foundation) and/or Azure Function Apps
  • Experience with modern server-side scripting language such as python, node.js, ruby, etc..
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Cloud Terraform is a must
  • Must be well versed and hands on with containerization technologies like Docker/Kubernetes, Packer
  • Experience with message-based systems and event driven architecture, including Angular NgRx for efficient State Management
  • Experience with FastAPI development and the CRUD model
  • Possess expertise in automating builds for developer environments, from development through production, within a Continuous Delivery model, fully integrated with GitHub
  • Understanding of Scrum Agile methodology and have worked on a Scrum team
  • Knowledge of SQL, and NoSQL databases (Postgres & MongoDB).
  • Knowledge of networking, firewalls, load balancers etc.
  • Knowledge of best practices for IT operations in an always-on, always-available service model
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively engage both corporate executives and technical teams
  • Exhibit excellent influencing and reasoning skills, with a strong aptitude for conflict resolution and consensus building
     

Preferred:

 

  • At least 3 years of development experience on a major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

The salary range for this position is $69,000 - $114,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
