What will your typical day look like?
As a retail Analyst/Consultant who embraces weaving data into creative outcomes for our retail clients, you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of engagements - encompassing retail topics such as advising retailers on new markets to expand into, enabling retailers to become more digital, delivering on ‘save to grow’ cost transformation, and refreshing a retailer’s merchandising & marketplace strategy across in-store & online. In addition to client engagements, you will also play a focal role in developing data-driven retail & customer experience assets to enable rapid value-add results to our retail clients.
About the team
Ever been frustrated from a consumer experience? Such as not being able to return an online order in-store? Being recommended irrelevant offers through a loyalty app? Not being able to find your size? Your favourite product only being available to purchase in-store? Our team is a collection of experienced retail advisors who enjoy applying these types of personal experiences to inform how we serve our retail clients through practical solutions- all guided by the ultimate purpose of improving the customer experience and eliminating friction points. We are Deloitte Canada’s industry-led practice for Retail and partner with other teams to collectively provide end-to-end value to our retail clients. As a result, depending on the opportunity we collaborate closely with Deloitte teams.

Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of consulting & / or relevant industry experience, specifically within the retail sector
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following Retail specializations:
- Retail Transformation
- Category Management
- Stores & Technology
- Retail Technology
- Retail Pricing Solutions
- Deep understanding of the retail industry including key trends and priorities
- A problem-solver who recognizes the need to balance business and technical skills– creatively shaping qualitative and quantitative analysis to solve business challenges
- Exhibits high intellectual horsepower, including strong critical thinking skills, analytical abilities, and the capacity for lateral/creative thinking- identifying key client issues, conducting analysis, and developing recommendations
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams
- Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment with pressing deadlines and constantly changing client needs and conditions
- Bachelor’s degree is required, master’s degree is a nice to have
- Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $57,000 - $102,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
