Summary
As a Technical Lead at Deloitte, you will leverage your extensive experience in architecting and developing enterprise applications and big data solutions. In this 1 year fixed term employment, you will provide technical leadership and ensure alignment with the architectural vision, guiding the development team to deliver high-quality solutions. Working closely with Product Owners and cross-functional teams, you will play a pivotal role in achieving business objectives, managing release planning, and ensuring successful deployment and support of our technology solutions.
What will your typical day look like?
- Lead the development team from a technical perspective, monitoring release progress and proactively identifying potential issues or delays.
- Coordinate and update the team on cross-team dependencies, making key technical decisions and assessing the downstream impact of changes to ensure system integrity and a positive customer experience.
- Provide Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) estimates during release planning, and identify key dependencies and risk areas.
- Collaborate with architects to help define the technology roadmap and solutions, focusing on delivering incremental value and building the right product efficiently.
- Oversee the design, development, and integration of solutions using Java/JEE, Spark/Scala, Hadoop, Hive, Spring Boot, Angular, REST APIs, Cassandra/NoSQL databases, MS SQL Server, Git, and Linux.
- Ensure technology delivery excellence by following standard change management processes, coordinating production deployments, and leading post-deployment activities.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including use cases, technical user stories, configuration specifications, and technical diagrams to support ongoing development and maintenance.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you
You are someone with:
- Proven experience leading technical teams in the design and development of enterprise-scale applications and big data platforms.
- Deep expertise in Java/JEE, Spark/Scala, Hadoop, Hive, Spring Boot, Angular, REST APIs, and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, as well as MS SQL Server.
- Strong understanding of version control (Git) and working within Linux environments.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical direction, make key architectural decisions, and manage cross-team dependencies.
- Experience with release planning, risk assessment, and coordinating successful production deployments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on delivering business value and supporting team success.
- Strong documentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear and actionable artifacts.
- A commitment to technology excellence, continuous improvement, and delivering solutions that meet business objectives.
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $84,000 - $175,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
