The Solutions Delivery Development Leader is responsible for advancing and governing the Development Practice across the Solutions Delivery organization.
This leader sets technical direction, elevates engineering standards, and drives measurable improvements across people, process, and technology. The role combines deep software engineering expertise with practice leadership — building scalable delivery capabilities while embedding modern architecture patterns, DevOps discipline, and AI-assisted development approaches.
This is not a pure people-management role. It requires hands-on credibility, technical depth, and the ability to influence engineering outcomes across multiple teams.
Development Practice & Engineering Excellence
• Establish and evolve the Development Practice, defining architecture patterns,
engineering principles, and quality standards.
• Drive consistency across delivery teams through modern engineering
approaches (cloud-native, API-first, event-driven, domain-oriented design).
• Define development strategies aligned with enterprise architecture and platform standards.
• Monitor delivery performance and continuously refine engineering
practices based on outcomes.
Generative AI & Intelligent Delivery
• Lead responsible adoption of Generative AI across the SDLC, including:
o AI-assisted design, coding, testing, documentation, and code review
o Developer productivity tooling (copilots, internal accelerators)
o Intelligent automation and quality engineering
• Establish guardrails for AI-enabled development (security, privacy,
IP protection, responsible usage).
• Partner with architecture, security, and risk teams to align AI-enabled practices
with enterprise standards.
• Develop reference implementations and PoCs to accelerate adoption of AI-assisted delivery.
Architecture & Technical Leadership
• Partner with enterprise and solution architects to evolve architecture patterns.
• Act as a technical evangelist promoting engineering standards
and architectural consistency.
• Contribute to conceptual architectures and hands-on exemplars used
for team enablement.
• Ensure development practices align with long-term platform and cloud strategy.
People, Learning & Culture
• Mentor and coach engineers and technical leads.
• Define upskilling strategies across cloud platforms, DevOps, architecture
patterns, and AI-assisted development.
• Identify skills gaps and delivery risks and address through
targeted development plans.
• Foster a culture of craftsmanship, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Collaboration & Influence
• Build strong partnerships across delivery teams, architecture,
product, and platform functions.
• Engage with network and peer groups to bring forward emerging practices.
• Communicate technical strategy and engineering direction
clearly to diverse stakeholders.
About the team
The Solutions Delivery organization builds and operates modern, scalable software solutions that power critical business capabilities across the enterprise. We work in close partnership with architecture, product, data, and platform teams to deliver high-quality, cloud-native applications using modern engineering practices.
Our focus is not only delivery — it is the continuous evolution of how we deliver. We are advancing our development practice through stronger architecture standards, DevOps maturity, automation, and responsible adoption of Generative AI to improve productivity, quality, and time-to-value.
This role sits at the center of that transformation — shaping the engineering discipline, strengthening craftsmanship, and modernizing delivery practices across multiple teams.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
Required
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with progression into technical leadership roles.
• Proven experience influencing and elevating engineering standards across multiple teams.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end SDLC within Agile or product-oriented delivery models.
• Strong foundation in modern application architecture principles and design patterns.
• Expertise in Microsoft platforms, including .NET and Azure cloud services.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps / DevSecOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
• Strong experience with GitHub Enterprise as a development platform, including:
o GitHub Actions for CI/CD automation
o Repository governance, branching strategies, and workflow standards
o GitHub Advanced Security (code scanning, secret scanning, dependency management)
o GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted coding capabilities within enterprise environments
o Platform-level enablement and governance of GitHub across multiple teams
• Experience driving engineering quality practices (automated testing,
code quality, performance monitoring).
• Exposure to platform engineering or developer experience (DevEx) initiatives.
• Practical experience adopting Generative AI tools within the development lifecycle.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
Nice to Have
• Experience establishing or formalizing a Development Practice at scale.
• Industry Certifications
• Experience leading cloud-native transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments.
• Experience with AI-assisted testing frameworks or intelligent automation.
• Experience building internal developer platforms or shared
engineering services.

• Experience integrating modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
What Success Looks Like
• Engineering standards are clearly defined, adopted, and measurable across delivery teams.
• Development teams demonstrate improved quality, speed, and consistency.
• Generative AI is embedded responsibly into the SDLC with clear guardrails
