What will your typical day look like?

Summary:

The Global ServiceNow Center of Excellence are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Solutions Architect to design innovative solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of ServiceNow's capabilities, best practices, and integration with other enterprise systems. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical specifications, leading the design and implementation of complex ServiceNow solutions, and ensuring the ongoing performance and stability of the platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions aligned with business needs and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business processes, and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain detailed architectural diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure the quality and performance of ServiceNow solutions.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise systems, using APIs and other integration technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow solutions.
  • Stay current with the latest ServiceNow features, updates, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of ServiceNow's roadmap and strategy.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
  • Adhere to IT governance and security policies.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of ServiceNow processes and procedures.

Important: Whilst a deep technical understanding of the platform is required this is not a lead developer role. The candidate should expect to spend the majority of their time in meetings with project teams and business stakeholders, creating design documentation to meet the business objectives and supporting projects through the mandatory governance processes. There will be little hands-on development work outside of the occasional proof-of-concept or analysis work.
