This is a fixed-term 5 month role with Deloitte Global (DTTL) ideal for individuals who would like to gain global experience and return to a role wholly serving their Deloitte firm at the end of the term. Due to the global nature of this role, relocation is not required, nor supported. Candidates would be expected to work from their current location 

What will your typical day look like?

We are looking for a Global Communications lead who will play a key role in differentiating Deloitte externally through media relations activities, including developing strategic relationships with journalists and media outlets and securing earned media opportunities for Deloitte senior leaders that amplify Deloitte’s point of view on key topics. This position will be responsible for preparing media materials (press releases, talking points, media briefings) for internal and external use as well as supporting media interviews in global markets. This position will also support global internal communications activities including working across Deloitte’s wide range of internal communications channels to plan, develop, create, and deliver strategic internal communications focused on priority topics and key global partnerships, crafting and editing internal content and coordinating materials for internal webcasts. This position will also have project management responsibility for key activities like our paid media relationships, eminence launches such as the Gen Z and Millennial Survey report, and select internal communications programs.

 

llustrative Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate with a wide variety of internal stakeholders and an external PR agency to bring to life media campaigns and meet key objectives. 
  • Manage the pipeline, development, review process, and posting of press releases, bylines, and other media materials. Manage and prepare media briefings for spokespeople.
  • Manage our paid media relationships, including editing thought leadership articles, coordinating with the internal stakeholder groups on content, managing review processes, and working with the vendor on publishing and reporting results.
  • Support internal communications efforts including drafting/editing content and coordinating internal campaign elements
  • Support the development and launch of key signature eminence pieces, such as the Gen Z and Millennial Survey. This includes providing input on the media strategy, report development, creative assets to promote the report such as country reports and social media content, internal communications, and more.
  • Play an important project management role on key internal communications activities, such as the monthly newsletter the team sends out to the Deloitte network to make them aware of recent and upcoming external announcements.
  • Work across all geographies and regions, collaborating with Deloitte firm communications professionals to ensure alignment on key global campaigns, best practice sharing, and more.
  • Draft, edit, adapt and finalize communications for internal and external audiences
  • Support management of content calendar for key initiatives
  • Craft and post globally relevant updates on internal social media
  • Support internal communications efforts related to signature partnerships
  • Collaborate with other communicators
  • Help execute communications plans
  • Support special projects

Qualifications

 

  • Strategic thinker with excellent project management and organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure and deliver against challenging deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Proven strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Great team player, with the ability to carry forward projects from beginning to end.
  • Capable of building effective virtual working relationships with internal stakeholders in a matrixed organization across multiple business areas, functions, and geographies. Experience in large corporate settings and/or professional services a plus.
  • Experience working with communications and media relations – ability to identify story angles.
  • Experience influencing and working with senior leaders – advising on communications.
  • Exceptional ability to prepare executive-ready materials that “tell-the-story” succinctly and logically; ability to flex the communication and messaging to the audience and context.
  • Ability to define appropriate communications performance indicators, report on success measures and evaluate metrics to enhance/improve communications activities and strategies.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills – with ability to prioritize and manage expectations across multiple, complex projects/priorities/issues in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through skills
  • Flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while possessing a high level of comfort with ambiguity
  • Fluency in MS applications, particularly PowerPoint.
  • Experience using Generative AI in a communications capacity a plus.

  • Ability to interact, work with, and advise senior leadership in a complex, matrixed organization

 

Education and Experience 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree; minimum three years’ experience in communications, marketing, and/or PR.

The salary range for this position is $69,000 - $114,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
