Summary
As a Quality Engineer at Deloitte, you will be an integral part of the Delivery Team, ensuring that software solutions meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. In this 1 year fixed term role, you will leverage your expertise in both manual and automated testing to prepare and execute comprehensive test cases, guide the team on feature and acceptance test strategies, and coordinate with the QA group to ensure all functionality is fully tested and ready for deployment.
What will your typical day look like?
- Create detailed Quality Assurance and test artifacts, including complex and negative test cases derived from user stories, and assist the Product Owner in documenting acceptance criteria at the appropriate level of detail.
- Review open defects, assess technical functionality against specifications, and ensure all deliverables meet defined requirements.
- Lead efforts to improve cost of quality by minimizing re-work, reducing code scrapping, and optimizing design and conformance to deliver maximum value to the customer.
- Support deployment activities by verifying that solutions are production-ready and collaborating with relevant teams to ensure smooth releases.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities by working with the Product Owner and Scrum Master, using data-driven approaches to experiment, measure, and learn from improvement initiatives.
- Use key metrics such as lead time, throughput, and quality data to identify and drive opportunities for team performance improvement.

You are someone with:
- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or Quality Assurance Analyst, with hands-on expertise in both manual and automated testing.
- Strong skills in creating comprehensive test cases and quality assurance documentation.
- Ability to analyze defects, assess technical functionality, and ensure solutions meet acceptance criteria and business requirements.
- Experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives within agile or scrum teams, using data and metrics to inform decisions.
- Knowledge of quality management best practices, including prevention, optimization, and cost of quality improvement.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling you to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive, analytical mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions and supporting team success.
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $138,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
