What will your typical day look like?

 

As Communications Senior Manager you serve as a leader on the Global Internal Communications team, helping to shape and execute innovative internal communications strategies that drive engagement and awareness across Deloitte Global Growth and across the network. Leveraging your expertise in communications strategy development, project management, editorial oversight, and stakeholder engagement, you’ll advise senior leaders, mentor colleagues, and deliver impactful deliverables that help build pride in our people and loyalty in our clients. You’ll collaborate across business areas, industries and geographies, building effective virtual relationships and delivering value to senior leaders and your team.

 

Illustrative duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Serve as a communications advisor by developing communications strategies for Global Growth Leaders and specific communications plans to drive key priority areas and help advise/execute those strategies, as needed (including development and/or refinement of communications deliverables)
  • Serve as a mentor and advisor to communications colleagues within BMCP and across other Global Growth pillars by helping connect the dots across areas and providing communications, stakeholder engagement, and change management expertise
  • Conduct communications assessments and develop actionable recommendations
  • Help deliver executive communications assessment/labs for Global Growth pillar leaders to surface strategic messaging, audiences, and preferred channels of communication 
  • Help advise and drive BMCP community communications strategy and activities including management/ongoing planning and coordination of BMCP internal communications and communities
  • Support internal communications efforts as needed including drafting/editing content and coordinating internal campaign elements (e.g., posting on internal social media platform, Viva Engage)
  • Drive the Global Communications member firm / global business ambassador program
  • Provide editorial guidance and proofreading support for key publications and leadership communications
  • Advise Office of the Global Chief Growth Officer (OGCGO), talent advisors, and the Global Growth People Council on communications and engagement strategies including key talent lifecycle activities and People Council initiatives
  • Act as the Global Growth liaison with Global Growth Knowledge Services and oversee content updates for specific Global Growth intranet pages and advise OGCGO team on other updates
  • Research internal communications trends externally and determine feasibility and viability for Deloitte
  • Lead change management and continuous process improvement as needed over time
  • Serve as key Internal Communications leader, supporting the Internal Communications Director with team management responsibilities as needed
  • Build effective relationships across BMCP and Global Growth, Deloitte Global, and member firms, as appropriate
  • Support special projects, as needed

  • Ability to shape and execute communications strategies focused on internal audiences, leveraging multiple vehicles to achieve results
  • Experience with internal communications campaigns with demonstrable results in building engagement and driving awareness across a variety of audience groups and channels 
  • Strategic thinker with excellent project management and organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure and deliver against challenging deadlines and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior writing and editorial skills (in English) and a familiarity with the Global Language and Style guide,
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Great team player, with the ability to carry forward projects from beginning to end 
  • Capable of building effective virtual working relationships with internal stakeholders in a matrixed organization across multiple business areas, industries, and geographies 
  • Experience in large corporate settings and/or professional services a plus 
  • Experience influencing and working with senior leaders to advise on their communications approaches
  • Ability to define appropriate communications performance indicators, report on success measures, and evaluate metrics to enhance/improve communications activities and strategies
  • Demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness, follow-through, detail-orientation, and problem-solving skills
  • Sound judgement and a demonstrated experience dealing with global issues and sensitivities
  • Flexibility and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while possessing a high level of comfort with ambiguity
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Advanced skills working with Microsoft Office applications 
  • Experience using Generative AI in communications capacity a plus

Education and Experience 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree preferred); minimum eight years’ experience in communications, marketing, journalism, and/or media relations/PR. Previous experience in professional services and a global environment preferred.

The salary range for this position is $104,000 - $215,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
