What will your typical day look like?
As the Senior Manager for Net-Zero Activation, you will be responsible for supporting the Global Sustainability Leader in executing against the Deloitte Net-Zero Transition Plan, including serving as program manager for coordinating with various stakeholders in strategic planning processes and liaising with various global functions and Deloitte Member Firms.
Responsibilities include:
• Mature and implement comprehensive, science-based decarbonization roadmaps and transition plans aligned with Deloitte goals and international frameworks (e.g., SBTi).
• Facilitate annual and quarterly Net-Zero planning, goal setting, roadmapping, budgeting, and communication across sustainability and other teams across the Global network to monitor progress, risks, issues, dependencies, identify gaps and requirements and develop mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams (including technology, operations, procurement, real estate, and strategy) to identify, prioritize, and implement emissions reduction initiatives globally.
• Function as a technical advisor, communicating program progress, risks, and strategies to executive leadership and other key stakeholders.
• Develop executive and board level materials to provide briefings and recommendations to senior leadership on progress toward Net-Zero targets, strategic direction, and key sustainability risks and strategy trade-offs.
• Advise on pilot programs for transformational solutions, such as advanced digital technologies like AI for decarbonization.
• Support the design of the emissions reduction program processes and tools to enable prioritization, project selection, and implementation for decarbonizing Deloitte’s technology footprint.
• Shape and inform supplier and alliance partner engagement efforts to address upstream (Scope 3) emissions, helping integrate sustainability performance into procurement decisions and standards.
• Partner with CoRe Sustainability Procurement and data providers to develop detailed and actionable Scope 3 (supply chain) decarbonization action plans.
• Benchmark activity-based carbon footprint against industry and peers and track high-impact decarbonization best practices.
• Build and mentor a high-performing, multidisciplinary team, setting clear objectives, promoting a culture of accountability and quality, and supporting team member development and inclusion.
• Manage the program budget and develop business cases for decarbonization investments.

Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in sustainability, energy management, or related fields, with proven experience driving large-scale, end-to-end GHG reduction projects.
• Experience in developing operational and value chain emissions reduction strategy for large corporations.
• Decarbonization experience in sectors such as hardware, devices, software, network solutions, marketing (media and ad production), legal and other professional services.
• Deep understanding of climate science, Net-Zero strategies, carbon footprint assessment methodologies, and relevant reporting frameworks (e.g., CDP, TCFD, SASB).
• Experience with GHG accounting, carbon reduction strategies, technology, and evaluation techniques.
• Strong leadership, program management, and change management skills, with the ability to influence and motivate diverse teams across different cultures and functions.
• Experience to resolve issues diplomatically through understanding conflicting inputs, achieving alignment, and proposing go-forward solutions.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to navigate complex challenges and make data-driven decisions. Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and timelines.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management at senior/executive levels; excellent oral and written communication with experience briefing executives, C-suite, or boards.
• Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating with internal interdisciplinary teams as well as external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, including a demonstrated ability to plan and manage projects independently and ensure high quality deliverables within established time frame
Preferred Experience
• Master’s degree, CPA credential or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Experience in sustainability consulting and leading engagements with corporate clients.
• Experience setting and implementing corporate emissions reductions goals aligned to best industry standards such as the Science-Based Target Initiative (SBTi).
• Practical and applied subject matter expertise in external frameworks and standards (e.g., TCFD, GHG Protocol, ISO, etc.).
• Strong leadership skills and proven ability in motivating people and promoting teamwork.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic and evolving work environment and work with senior stakeholders across a global network.
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $104,000 - $215,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
