What will your typical day look like?
• Lead data mapping, migration, and validation activities to ensure seamless data conversion processes.
• Analyze and document business requirements, operational processes, and test cases related to data conversion and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to define integration points and data flows.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including requirements specifications and test plans.
• Utilize SQL, Excel, and other data analysis tools to perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
• Support system integration and user acceptance testing, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Provide subject matter expertise on asset classes, trade lifecycle, portfolio accounting, and performance measurement.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on data conversion and operational workflows.
About the team
We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant – Business Analyst to join our AI and Data team, focusing on data conversion and reconciliation for large-scale financial platforms. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong expertise in data modeling, integration points, and operational workflows, with prior experience using BlackRock Aladdin highly advantageous. This role requires a deep understanding of asset classes, trade lifecycle, portfolio accounting, performance measurement, and reconciliation workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications :
• 5+ years of strong Python or Scala programming skills (Core Python and PySpark)
• 5+ years of experience with building and optimizing ‘big data’ pipelines, architectures, and data sets. Familiarity with data pipeline and workflow management tools (e.g., Airflow, DBT Kafka).
• Strong experience implementing solutions on Snowflake
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in data conversion, migration, and reconciliation projects.
• Strong understanding of data models, integration points, and operational workflows in financial services.
• Prior experience with BlackRock Aladdin is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with asset classes, trade lifecycle, portfolio accounting, and performance measurement.
• Top technical / programming skills – Python, Java or Scala, Hadoop Suite, Cloud Data Platforms Preferably Snowflake/Databricks and SQL. Experience working with flat files, Database API sources is a must to both ingest and create transformations.
• Proficient in SQL, Excel, and data analysis tools.
• Strong documentation skills, including requirements, process, and test documentation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications :
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in deployment, maintenance, and administration tasks related to Cloud (Azure Preferred), OpenStack, Docker, Kafka and Kubernetes
• Experience with large-scale system implementations in the asset management or financial services industry.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in data management and reconciliation.
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $138,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
