What will your typical day look like?
As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients. Your focus will be on the core accounting cycle, including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, supporting compliance, and driving process improvements. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and executing month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements and working papers in accordance with GAAP and client requirements
- Overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
- Supporting ERP system implementation and optimization (NetSuite experience is a strong asset), including process mapping and user acceptance testing
- Ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal control requirements for clients
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounting function
- Assisting with the integration of new technologies and tools to streamline accounting workflows
- Building strong client relationships through reliable delivery and proactive communication
- Collaborating with team members to deliver high-quality service
- Performing ad hoc accounting and finance tasks as needed

Enough about us, let’s talk about you
You are a Finance practitioner with the following education, experience and attributes:
- Bachelor’s or College degree in Accounting or Business
- Enrollment in the CPA program is an asset but not required if have good track record of experience working in accounting functions in industry or within accounting firms.
- 3+ years of experience as a key member of a finance team taking independent projects to support controllership function; previous accounting and advisory firm experience a strong asset
- ERP system implementation experience with a propensity to learn new software as required – NetSuite experience is a strong asset.
- Finance transformation experience is an asset
- Strong technical accounting skills and understanding of GAAP
- Strong oral and written communication skills; fluent in both French and English is an asset
- Intermediate to advanced level of Microsoft 365 proficiency (e.g. Excel, Outlook, Word & PowerPoint)
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities leveraging sound attention to detail and strong organization skills
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, as well as, on a team
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $138,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
