What will your typical day look like?
The DT Financial Business Management (DTFM) group provides technology operations, analytics, reporting, and software management services to drive strong IT performance and value in Deloitte Global and across member firms. The group delivers world‑class services, guidance, and analysis to Deloitte Technology leaders and IT professionals.
Position Responsibilities
The Senior Analyst reports to the Financial Operations Manager – Foundations Data Reference Technology Business Management (DTFM) team. The role supports the manager in standardizing, loading, streamlining, and documenting reference data processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engage with Deloitte Technology teams to gather and validate data required for management reporting aligned to strategic priorities
- Assist with financial analysis to identify trends and provide insights into technology cost performance tools used by technology leadership and stakeholders
- Support mapping and documentation of Technology Business Management best practices to create manuals, presentations, playbooks, and training materials
- Identify and evaluate current processes and recommend improvements to data validation
- Maintain and analyze standardized foundational datasets using Semarchy (Master Data Management) and PowerApps, ensuring data accuracy and consistency
- Monitor and resolve inconsistencies, duplicates, and errors within reference data
- Monitor the DTFM mailbox for business‑related tasks and activities
- Collaborate effectively as a team member, sharing information and supporting colleagues
Additional responsibilities:
- Assist in uploading data into internal department tools
- Collect and gather data from databases, spreadsheets, and external sources
- Ensure accurate and complete data loads into databases
- Continuously seek improvements in data management processes and tools
- Partner with technical teams and member firms to create and maintain a consolidated financial repository for technology financial management reporting
- Assist with in‑depth cost analysis, including cost‑of‑goods, overhead, and activity‑based costing
- Build and maintain scalable, auditable cost models for forecasting, scenario analysis, and strategic decision‑making
- Develop SQL queries (joins, window functions, CTEs, aggregates) to extract and transform large datasets
- Optimize SQL and model performance through indexing, query refactoring, and materialized view recommendations
- Assist with cost allocation methodology and policy design aligned with accounting and business requirements
- Support process improvement and automation through SQL jobs, macros, or scripts
- Ensure data governance and controls through reconciliation, validation checks, and documentation

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Management, or Management Information Systems
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant work experience; high performer
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excel modeling and VBA programming experience preferred
- SQL development experience
- Experience building and maintaining cost models
- Strong working knowledge of SAP, data management, and other firm systems
- Understanding of Deloitte Technology and global business structure preferred
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong culture of execution, operational excellence, and accountability
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $69,000 - $114,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
