What will your typical day look like?


Project Specialists at the Manager level are experienced project delivery leaders who partner closely with consulting teams to define, plan, and deliver high‑quality client solutions. This role plays a key part in driving project management excellence, embedding agile practices, and shaping project delivery standards, tools, and governance across engagements. You will provide leadership across the full project life cycle while ensuring consistency, quality, and strategic alignment.

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex projects or workstreams, applying project management and agile methodologies to ensure successful outcomes across scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Guide and mentor project teams, providing direction, removing blockers, and ensuring adherence to delivery best practices and standards.
  • Partner with cross‑functional consulting and client teams to shape project plans, define delivery approaches, and drive alignment to client objectives.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of key project documentation, including integrated schedules, RAID logs, status reporting, governance materials, and decision logs.
  • Facilitate strategic project meetings and steering committee sessions, ensuring clear decisions, action item ownership, and follow‑through across stakeholder groups.
  • Drive continuous improvement of project management standards, frameworks, templates, and tools, ensuring scalability and consistency across projects and programs.
  • Monitor progress across multiple workstreams, proactively identifying risks, issues, and dependencies—and developing mitigation strategies to protect delivery timelines and quality.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations at all levels, delivering clear, timely communication and insights that support decision‑making and program governance.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and align with client requirements, regulatory guidelines, and project goals.
  • Support coordination at the program level, enabling alignment, integration, and visibility across related initiatives or portfolios.

 

Please note: This role requires approximately 80% travel.

The Senior Consultant/Manager reports to the Project Leaders within National Technology & Transformation.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

 

You are someone with these required skills:

 

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on project management and implementation experience using waterfall and/or agile delivery frameworks, including managing timelines, scope, risks, and cross functional teams.
  • 2–3 years of delivery experience in a consulting environment (asset), with exposure to client-facing engagements, solution delivery, and multi project coordination.
  • Project management certifications such as PMP, CSM, CSPM, or other relevant credentials that demonstrate commitment to project management excellence.
  • Advanced knowledge of project and program management disciplines, including developing schedules, managing risks and issues, conducting status reporting, and applying quality management practices across both waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Experience supporting business transformation and technology enablement initiatives, with an understanding of system implementation challenges, integration considerations, and technology-related risks.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present project status clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels—from team members to senior leadership—tailoring messaging to the audience.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to identify critical details, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure high-quality deliverables while keeping the overall project vision and objectives in mind.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build strong relationships, influence stakeholders, support decision-making, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

 

It would be great for you to have some of these nice to have’s as well:

 

  • Background in change management or organizational readiness
  • Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Azure DevOps, or Smartsheet.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $175,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
