What will your typical day look like?

As a Senior Consultant in Data Governance – AI and Data, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients establish robust data governance frameworks to unlock the value of their data assets while ensuring compliance, quality, and ethical use—especially in the context of artificial intelligence and advanced analytics. You will leverage your expertise to design, implement, and optimize data governance strategies, working closely with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support the development and implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards, with a focus on AI and advanced analytics use cases.
Assess client data landscapes and maturity to identify gaps and recommend actionable improvements.
Advise clients on data quality, metadata management, data lineage, data privacy, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Collaborate with data architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure governance requirements are embedded in data solutions.
Facilitate data stewardship and data ownership programs, including training and change management initiatives.
Support the evaluation and implementation of data governance technologies and tools.
Stay up to date on emerging trends and regulatory developments in data governance, AI ethics, and responsible AI.
Prepare and deliver client presentations, reports, and workshops.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
3–7 years of experience in data governance, data management, or related roles.
Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices.
Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation) and data management platforms.
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and the unique governance considerations they introduce.
Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience in consulting, client-facing roles, or project management is an advantage.

Preferred Skills:

Certifications in data governance, data management, or related disciplines (e.g., CDMP, DGSP).
Experience in regulated industries (e.g., financial services, healthcare).
Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Understanding of Responsible AI frameworks and AI risk management.

The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $138,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
