What will your typical day look like?

Global Finance Services (GFS) is continuing the rollout of finance services across the Deloitte Member Firm network. This role is part of Reporting & Analysis (R&A). R&A supports member firm clients with all aspects of management reporting and analysis. R&A is made up of analytical, financial, and reporting experts that align reporting with the strategic priorities of our businesses, enabling areas/enterprise solutions and business leaders. The team is responsible for designing and driving the future of management reporting for all levels of firm leadership. With a focus on innovation, we continuously seek ways to enhance and optimize existing deliverables and create new reporting solutions. We are also uniquely positioned to identify and implement leading practices across clients.
As a Lead Financial Analyst, you will be an integral part of the Operations team, responsible for coordinating across teams to manage several a team, their assigned reporting and driving end-to-end solutions and analysis that provide our clients and leaders with the consumable information and insight they need to drive better business decisions and address challenges.
 
Reporting & Analysis:
•    Perform value-added analysis on periodic results, including (but not limited to):
•    Drivers of revenue/profit growth
•    Areas of concern that warrant leadership action planning
•    Root cause analysis and recommendations on identified issues or detected trends
•    Actively engage in automation and optimization activities, providing support and guidance to assigned team
•    Monitor reporting leading practices and technology for solution insights, direction and methods
 
Service Delivery and Project Management:
•    Promote and drive demand for our services by supporting/leading initiatives that provide analysis and insights focused on increasing both Finance and business leaders’ understanding of business performance and opportunities.
•    Responsible for managing the service delivery for assigned team, ensuring best practices and are in place and standards are met with all team deliverables
•    Manage self and others to provide exceptional client service by responding with a sense of urgency, practicality, accountability and integrity
•    Demonstrate ownership of complex projects and ability to credentialize yourself as an expert that others call upon for advice, guidance, counsel, and insight
•    Strong communication skills and the ability to craft and tailor the message to the audience
•    Engage R&A Development, Innovation and other R&A and GFS teams to identify opportunities to innovate, improve our R&A processes, tools, templates and systems and develop and deliver optimized solutions
 
People and Relationship Management:
•    Successfully manage client relations and develop trust-based relationships with our internal clients
•    Drives and effectively manages team members’ goal setting, training and performance management, including quarterly and year-end ratings
•    Identify learning opportunities to address perceived needs of team members
•    Ensure optimal resource utilization (e.g., coverage, contingencies, effectiveness and efficiencies)
•    Foster a collaborative and innovative culture based on teamwork, talent development, mentoring, and coaching

Qualification
•    Minimum of four years of experience in finance operations
•    In-depth understanding of financials to provide insight and analysis to business leaders
•    Solid understanding of financial systems and data sources used in reporting
•    High performing individual with demonstrated accomplishments in the following areas:
•    Problem solving skills
•    Project management
•    Creative thought generation
•    Reporting solution development
•    Business process improvement
•    Data analysis and analytical / data modeling techniques
 
Capability and Skills Requirements:
 
•    Proven experience with information management and relational data concepts
•    Ability to research and analyze data from internal and external sources
•    Ability to establish deliverable structure and content and review deliverables for self and others to ensure they meet client expectations and highest quality standards
•    Possess strong interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written, and ability to create, as well as deliver, effective presentations
•    Ability to work within a virtual team in a dynamic, cross-functional, cross-geography environment
•    Self-motivated, with strong time management skills and ability to prioritize and execute tasks and projects efficiently without continual supervision
 
Technology or Other Requirements:
 
•    Experience in evaluating and leveraging new technology solutions and automating reporting
•    Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint skills
•    Knowledge of financial systems (HANA/AO, SAP) and ServiceNow
•    Experience with Tableau or other BI analysis software (e.g., Power BI, Web Intelligence, etc.)

Total Rewards


The salary range for this position is $69,000 - $114,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
