Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business System Analyst (BSA) to join our dynamic team on a 1-year fixed term employment basis. This role requires extensive expertise across Fixed Income, FX, Rates, Commodities, and Equities, with a strong focus on venue-level and product-level data requirements, surveillance methodologies, and regulatory compliance (FINRA, SEC). As a techno-functional lead, you will drive cross-functional workshops, engage with senior stakeholders, and design robust surveillance and control solutions across the trade lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of trading protocols, market data analysis, data pipelines, and a proven track record in compliance transformation and implementation.
What will your typical day look like?
- Engage with executives and cross-functional teams from Front-Office, Surveillance, Technology, and Data Management to define and document data requirements at both venue and product level.
- Lead workshops to map venue and product taxonomy, manage MARA inventory, and oversee risk-driven onboarding of new data sources.
- Design, develop, and implement trade surveillance solutions and data controls for multiple asset classes, leveraging advanced mathematical models and regulatory standards.
- Oversee the design and maintenance of OQT repositories (Orders/Quotes/Trades), ensuring comprehensive data lineage tracking and reconciliation.
- Manage the configuration and integration of trade surveillance systems, including ETL/data pipelines, Java, Big Data, Dremio, SQL, HDFS, and DevOps tools.
- Ensure data completeness, quality controls, and exception management through agile delivery practices.
- Interpret regulatory obligations (e.g., CAT, TRACE) and translate them into effective control designs and transaction reporting controls.
- Support integration, automation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and provide ongoing production support for surveillance platforms.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you
You are someone with:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Compliance Transformation Implementation, Trade Surveillance, Trade Venue life-cycle, and Conflict Management within Capital Markets.
- Deep expertise in Fixed Income, FX, Rates, Commodities, and Equities, with a solid understanding of trading venues and protocols such as FIX/FAST, ITCH, FpML, and binary/proprietary formats.
- Proven ability to design and develop surveillance solutions, data controls, and interpret complex regulatory requirements.
- Strong experience in driving workshops and engaging with senior stakeholders to deliver end-to-end data and surveillance solutions.
- Advanced technical skills in Java, Big Data, Dremio, SQL, HDFS, and DevOps, with a keen eye for data completeness, quality, and lineage.
- A collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality, compliant solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $155,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
