What will your typical day look like?
We are seeking an experienced Manager to join our Procurement Advisory team, specializing in Financial Services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement within the financial sector, combined with proven management consulting experience advising clients on procurement strategies, transformation, and optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver procurement advisory projects for clients in the financial services industry, including sourcing strategy and execution (e.g., contract negotiations), and process optimization
- Design and implement target operating models for procurement functions, aligning organizational structure, processes, and technology to business objectives
- Conduct procurement maturity assessments to evaluate current state capabilities, identify gaps, and benchmark against industry best practices
- Develop opportunity assessments and business cases to support procurement transformation initiatives, including cost savings, risk reduction, and operational efficiency improvements
- Advise clients on procurement digitalization and technology enablement, including tool selection, implementation planning, and adoption strategies
- Oversee the implementation of identified opportunities, driving stakeholder engagement, and realization of benefits
- Manage client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and ensuring high levels of satisfaction throughout project delivery
- Lead and mentor project teams, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development to junior staff
- Prepare and present high-quality client deliverables, including executive reports, presentations, and actionable recommendations
- Participate in business development activities, including the preparation of Statements of Work (SOW), and development of proposals
- Stay up to date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in procurement and financial services to inform client engagements and internal knowledge sharing

The Deloitte Supply Chain & Network Operations Consulting practice is the largest in the Canadian market and part of the largest consulting firm in the world. We work hand-in-hand with our clients from across industries to improve performance, drive shareholder value and create competitive advantage. Our work involves developing innovative recommendations to address client issues and presenting the findings to senior executives. Depending on the project, we evolve this storyline into a strategic roadmap and detailed project plan for execution. Ensuring client success does not stop there. We also collaborate with clients through the implementation to see the vision become a reality.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you
You are someone who:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred
- 6+ years of relevant experience in procurement, with a significant portion in the financial services sector
- Previous management consulting experience in procurement advisory is essential
- Proven ability to lead and manage complex cost take out and/or procurement transformation initiatives across Financial Service clients
- Deep understanding of Financial Services’ trends and their implications for operating models and organizational design
- Demonstrated ability to lead client engagements and manage project teams
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
- Familiarity with procurement technology platforms and tools (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Ivalua) is a plus
- Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) are a plus
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $175,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
