What will your typical day look like?

We are seeking an Analyst or Consultant-level Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in ETL development, data profiling, cleansing scripting, automation, and data integration. You will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and workflows to support business intelligence, analytics, and operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
•    Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL processes for extracting, transforming, and loading data from diverse sources.
•    Perform data profiling and quality assessments to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
•    Develop and implement data cleansing scripts using SQL, Python, or other scripting languages to improve data quality.
•    Automate routine data processing and integration tasks to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.
•    Integrate data from multiple sources and systems, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
•    Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
•    Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability.
•    Document technical solutions, data flows, and processes in accordance with best practices.

Deloitte AI and Data, our Artificial Intelligence and Data practice, brings together experts with deep technical experience and industry knowledge. We deliver AI enabled solutions that help clients modernize their data platforms and prepare for advanced analytics and machine learning at scale.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with these required skills, experience & qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
•    Proven experience (2+ years) in ETL development and data engineering.
•    Strong proficiency in ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage) and/or custom ETL scripting (Python, SQL).
•    Hands-on experience in data profiling and data quality assessment techniques.
•    Experience developing data cleansing scripts and automating data processing tasks.
•    Solid understanding of data integration concepts and best practices.
•    Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Shell).
•    Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
•    Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
It would be great for you to have some of these nice to haves as well:​
•    Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
•    Knowledge of data governance and data security best practices.

Total Rewards


The salary range for this position is $58,000 - $102,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
