The Cloud Solutions Architect will be responsible to lead technical teams, demonstrate operational knowledge of cloud platforms and the ability to assess and deliver solutions on these platforms. The candidate will be required to work closely with a diverse range of internal and external personnel—sponsors, stakeholders, users, and technical teams on highly complex technical designs, migrations, deployments, and operations for Deloitte’s clients. 

What will your typical day look like?

As our ideal candidate, you will possess deep technical expertise to architect and engineer, while managing the related project. Your previous experience at a service provider or large enterprise will enable us to implement industry best practices to meet our client requirements. Your appetite to learn and share will ensure we keep up with the latest practices, ideas, and trends in the public cloud space.
You will help our clients resolve their most complicated problems and design, build, maintain, improve or re-architect on cloud platforms. While leading architectural recommendations to, you may also drive proof of concept (or MVP) efforts for candidate architectures or directing the delivery team to implement the solution based on the designed architecture.
Role Responsibilities
•    Design highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable applications. Provide guidance on architectural best practices and help clients understand their options.
•    Establish and enforce cloud governance policies and frameworks. Ensure solutions meet industry compliance requirements and work with legal and security teams to mitigate risks.
•    Lead the deployment of enterprise-class security, network, and systems management applications. Automate processes using infrastructure as code and CI/CD tools to improve quality and efficiency.
•    Continuously evaluate infrastructure to maintain optimal performance, availability, and security. Implement cost controls and manage system performance against KPIs.
•    Design and implement robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Create strategies for data backup and failover to minimize downtime.
•    Cultivate relationships with clients and internal teams. Guide internal teams' development and provide training to help with the adoption of cloud services.
•    Support the business development lifecycle. Work with product management to establish cloud solutions.
•    Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, services, and best practices. Evaluate new tools to identify opportunities for innovation and recommend solutions that benefit the business.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

Our team is looking for a Manager and/or a Senior Consultant to join the team:
A senior consultant is typically an expert in the field who can work independently and provide high-level, strategic advice to clients. They often take on complex projects.
•    Years of Experience: 7+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years specifically in cloud architecture and design.
•    Key Focus: Deep technical expertise and a proven track record of successfully designing and implementing complex, large-scale cloud solutions. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to act as a subject matter expert for clients and internal teams.
A manager in this field is an experienced professional who still possesses technical expertise with the added focus on team leadership, business alignment, and strategic oversight.
•    Years of Experience: 10+ years of experience in IT and cloud architecture, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership or management capacity
•    Key Focus: Along with providing subject matter expertise on client engagements, managers focus on setting the technical vision, making high-level architectural decisions, building client relationships, and ensuring the team has the resources and guidance to succeed. 
For both the roles we are looking for candidates who have the following qualifications:
•    Proven understanding of cloud computing models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and the competitive landscape.
•    Experience deploying complex cloud solutions for large organizations.
•    Platform Knowledge: Knowledge of traditional private cloud platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (Kubernetes).
•    Experience with Infrastructure as Code and using automation tools like Terraform or Ansible .
•    Experience leading data projects and deploying cloud native data systems
•    Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and release management, including tools like GitHub, Azure DevOps, Atlassian.
•    Experience with Windows and Linux environments, and scripting languages.
•    Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
•    Preferred experience in a professional services or banking environment.
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
•    Ability to obtain appropriate security clearances.

Total Rewards


The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $175,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
