What will your typical day look like?
There are no typical days at Deloitte! As part of the QuickStart program in Risk, Regulatory and Forensics, you will experience a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you will contribute to projects that help clients address their most pressing risk, regulatory, and forensic challenges. Your work will span across three key archetypes:
- Strategy & Advisory: You will analyze risk and regulatory trends, leverage industry leading practices, and help organizations optimize their risk & compliance programs. You will help design and implement scalable and effective processes and controls to protect value and enable growth.
- Finance: You will apply financial analysis and modeling skills to support strategic planning, assess business cases, and deliver actionable insights for client challenges.
- Tech & Data: You will leverage advanced data analytics, digital tools, emerging AI / Generative AI capabilities, and cutting-edge technologies to solve complex business and technology challenges related to Risk, Regulatory & Forensics.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, synthesize complex information for senior stakeholders, and continuously learn from experienced professionals. Your days will be filled with opportunities to grow professionally, build relationships, and develop specialized skills in risk, regulatory, and forensic consulting.
About the team
Deloitte’s Risk, Regulatory and Forensics practice is the largest in Canada, providing end-to-end consultative services to help clients effectively manage regulatory, financial, operational, and financial crime risks. By leveraging our global network, deep industry expertise, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and innovative data and technology, we enable clients to respond confidently to crises and optimize risk and control functions. Business lines include: Regulatory & Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, Financial Risk, Discovery, Disputes & Claims, and Financial Crime.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
We are seeking candidates who:
- Are working towards completing a post-secondary degree or diploma graduating from October 2025 – August 2026 with outstanding academic credentials to be eligible for this role.
- Demonstrate aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis, such as financial analysis or modeling, market research and analysis, project problem diagnosis & solution development.
- Exhibit strong communication skills (written and verbal), including experience in conducting research, synthesizing data, writing reports, and preparing presentations.
- Possess excellent problem solving, project management and interpersonal skills and ability to work in an ambiguous environment
- Have exceptional planning and organization skills with ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Have high proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams etc.)
For the Strategy & Advisory Archetype:
- Demonstrate critical thinking and strategic analytics skills
- Can synthesize complex information into actionable insights
- Are strong collaborators and communicators, comfortable presenting findings to stakeholders
- Are passionate about solving complex problems and making an impact in consulting professional services industry and for the community
- Experience with consulting and advisory services, risk management, regulatory compliance, financial crime prevention, business and technology implementations or process improvement is an asset
For the Finance Archetype:
- Have a solid foundation in accounting, corporate finance, and financial analysis
- Demonstrate proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and reporting
- Have experience supporting transaction execution, due diligence, and financial assessments
- Are detail-oriented, organized, and adept at working with large data sets
- Can communicate financial insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
- CPA path strongly preferred

For the Tech & Data Archetype:
- Demonstrate ability to synthesize large amounts of information to produce clear, concise, and logical presentations and reports
- Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis, data modelling, data visualization, and digital tools (e.g., SQL, Python, PowerBI, Tableau)
- Demonstrate ability to bridge business needs with technical solutions
- Exhibit curiosity, flexibility and adaptability, with a strong interest in evolving data, analytics, AI, and technology trends
- Experience in technology implementation, process automation, digital transformation through coursework, projects, or internships is an asset
- Understand AI frameworks and processes, and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, SpaCy) is an asset
- Understand cloud platforms and tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake) is an asset

Quebec Location: We require basic English language skills to meet the needs of our clients. In the context of mandates, you could work for clients with activities outside of Quebec and where the first language is English.
Ottawa Location: Employees in the Ottawa Consulting practice will be required to obtain “reliability” and/or “Secret” level federal security clearances as a condition of their employment. To be eligible for a "Reliability" status you must have resided in Canada for the last five (5) years and for "Secret" level, the last ten (10) years.
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $56,000 - $84,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
