Your role as junior staff member at Deloitte:

Role Description:

Working under the supervision of the Records Management Regional Lead within Business Operations and with local records management staff, this role is primarily focused on a project wherein you will:

·         Reconfigure existing legacy physical records to support ongoing application of the Firm's retention policy

·         Identify duplicate and transient records located within the legacy physical holdings as candidates for destruction, and records classified for permanent retention as candidates for digitization

·         Complete the digitization process including scanning, quality control, metadata application and storage in our OpenText based content management system

·         Support RM staff in promotion of best practices

 

You may also be called upon to:

·         Catalogue legacy physical records using OpenText

·         Consult with internal users to assess their information needs

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

To qualify for this position, you should possess the following:

 

•      Enrollment in an Archival Studies, Information Studies, Records Management or equivalent program with a focus on records and information management. Coursework in appraisal, records management, information systems, and diplomatics is an asset

•      Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

•      Familiarity with OpenText and Adobe Acrobat

•      Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of staff

•      Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision

•      Strong editing and proof-reading skills

•      Display team spirit and a willingness to be flexible to daily demands

•      Demonstrate commitment to accuracy and attention to detail

•      Prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks

•      Assume complete ownership of assigned projects, seeing them through from start to finish

•      Able to move 23 kilograms / 50 pounds
