The Human Capital practice in Ottawa is currently seeking a Senior Manager for their Organizational Design (OD) team.

As a Senior Manager in the Organizational Design team, you will join the largest Org Design practice in Canada, tackling some of the most complex strategic and organizational challenges facing our clients.  As a market leader in Ottawa, you will use your entrepreneurial skills to help establish a stronger commercial presence in the Ottawa region, supported by a truly national team and strong local consulting leadership.

Responsibilities as a leader within the Organization Design team and Deloitte include (but are not limited to):

  • Leveraging industry knowledge and commercial insight to serve as a trusted senior advisor to clients and consulting team through the Organization Design and / or transformation process
  • Leading consulting teams to develop and implement Organization Design solutions across a wide range of industries; public sector experience is an asset
  • Influencing clients, teams and individuals positively, leading by example, thinking innovatively and establishing confident relationships
  • Managing client expectations to help build and sustain long-term relationships and delivering exceptional client service by maximizing results and driving high performance from people, while also fostering collaboration across businesses and borders
  • Leading and supporting market & business development priorities, including preparation of Statements of Work (SOW), proposals (RFP and sole sourced), senior client presentations, etc.
  • Developing and executing strategies to address the key people issues associated with complex transformation initiatives (e.g., workforce transition plans, new operating model transformations, managing the organizational and talent issues)
  • Overseeing the analysis and application of analytics tools to assess the impact of varying Organization Design options and solutions
  • Leading and contributing to Organization Design practice development initiatives including market eminence, team building & engagement, inclusive leadership development,  and the recruitment and retention of Organization Design practitioners, etc.
  • Providing mentorship and learning & development support for the career progression of Organization Design and human capital practitioners

  • In addition, and in order to succeed as a Senior Manager within this team the following skills, qualifications, and experiences are highly recommended:
  • Strong understanding of the connection between business strategy and organizational levers
  • Significant experience with Organization Design and managing complex organizational transformations
  • Comfort and familiarity with working collaboratively across a wide cross-section of advisory disciplines including Strategy & Operations, Technology, Innovation, Risk, and Financial Advisory Services, to tackle our client’s issues holistically
  • Passion for building  local team of OD practitioners and growing the business
  • Comfort with combining both qualitative and quantitative analysis to solve business problems.
  • Experience and comfort with operating at the C-suite level
  • A demonstrated ability to manage multi priorities and deliver commitments on time
  • Attention to detail and commitment to deliver high-quality work products
  • An ability and experience to anticipate the long term impact of all decisions and take a broad approach to problem solving
  • A strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
  • A willingness to travel within Canada and/or globally as required

Finally, candidates who possess the following will be treated with priority:

  • Candidates with experience supporting clients in the Public Sector,
  • Previous professional services / consulting experience within a reputable firm
  • Bilingualism is an asset
