At Monitor Deloitte, Senior Consultants are integral members of their case teams. The principal role of the Senior Consultant is to advance the client's long-term competitive position, largely by collecting and analyzing business data, identifying and framing critical strategic choices, and designing and facilitating implementation and change processes. The Senior Consultant works as part of a joint client / Monitor Deloitte team to identify and analyze the critical strategic choices the client faces, recommend strategies for building sustainable competitive advantage, and to catalyze those strategies into action.

Description of the Role

  • Determine the appropriate framework to approach a problem;
  • Interact with case teams and provide support and guidance to junior team members;
  • Build relationships with clients at multiple levels;
  • Design qualitative and quantitative research tools;
  • Manage and oversee outsourcing of the research process;
  • Understand the client’s market and customer base using online and offline tools (industry reports, annual reports, etc.) and synthesize findings;
  • Analyze and model market data;
  • Understand the client’s business operations through research and interviews;
  • Assess and understand clients’ key issues, identifying business strategies to help them succeed;
  • Investigate and define operational improvements;
  • Lead the creation of presentation and communication materials;
  • Embrace an increasing level of autonomy and responsibility.

We are looking for high-performing and dynamic candidates who embody and have a track record in the following areas:

  • A strong academic record within a relevant undergraduate degree program is required, with MBA or comparable graduate degree a strong asset
  • 3  - 6 years’ professional experience with financial services or public sector industries 
  • Exceptional intellectual horsepower, including strong critical thinking skills, analytical abilities, and the capacity for lateral/creative thinking
  • Strong written and verbal communicator
  • Demonstrated leadership and a team player
  • Creative ability to conceptualize and articulate new approaches and solutions
  • Diversity of interests and experiences
  • Willingness to take initiative and assume responsibility
  • Maturity and professionalism
  • Ability to thrive in an environment of pressing deadlines and changing conditions
  • Desire to learn and passion for business
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and a sense of altruism
  • Must have Security Clearances.
