What will your typical day look like?

 

A role within Deloitte’s Ottawa Cyber Risk team is an opportunity to help organizations in the public sector offer secure services to Canadian citizens across the country. With increased digitization, coupled with privacy and regulatory concerns, Deloitte’s Ottawa Cyber Risk Team requires the skills of an experienced Identity and Access Management (IAM) professional. If that appeals to you then the time has come to consider a position with Deloitte. Daily activities vary for our cyber risk practitioners, depending on the client engagement. Practitioners will work on projects across multiple clients and industries, with a focus on the public sector, in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with client teams to understand their needs and business, and collaborate with Deloitte colleagues to solve problems, recommend solutions, and provide expertise to your clients. Practitioners will support the team in developing high quality deliverables according to a project plan that has been agreed to by the clients. Cyber Risk services in public sector focuses primarily governance.

About the team

 

Identity & Access Management (IAM) is a critical part of Deloitte’s Cyber Risk Services practice that helps our clients to be Secure, Vigilant and Resilient in the face of an ever-increasing array of cyber threats and vulnerabilities. The IAM service line delivers the design and implementation of secure identity and access management solutions that leverage the technologies of today’s pre-eminent access management, provisioning and directory services vendors. IAM services along with our broader cyber risk services help organizations address timely and pervasive issues such as identity theft, data security breaches, data leakage, cyber security, and system outages across organizations of various sizes and industries, with the goal of enabling ongoing, secure, and reliable operations across the enterprise.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

 

You are someone with:

 

  • Federal Government security clearance or ability to get Federal Government clearance at the Secret level
  • Basic knowledge of foundational cyber security concepts such as the CIA triad, governance and policy principles, cyber risk management, identity and access management, cryptography, and networking and application fundamentals
  • A completed, or has the intention to complete, training leading to the acquisition of a professional designation (SSCP, CISSP, CCSP, Security+, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, IT, Computer Science/Engineering is a definite asset
  • Experience advising organizations on digital identity strategies, design, and technology
  • Hands on identity and access management product knowledge experience and related vendor certification(s) with: CyberArk, Centrify, BeyondTrust, SailPoint, Okta, ForgeRock, Oracle, CA, IBM
