The Financial Crime landscape is continually evolving and becoming increasingly complex for our clients to manage. Our team needs individuals who will help provide expert advice and solutions to address our clients Financial Crime needs across the organization. Are you ready for the challenge?
What will your typical day look like?
There are no typical days! Working in Strategy, Risk & Transactions offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment which presents you with the opportunity to continually grow and learn from people with different backgrounds and working styles.
As an intern on our Financial Crime team, you will:
- Work collaboratively with a diverse team of talented forensic accountants specialized in fraud investigations and building fraud prevention and fraud risk management capabilities, specialists in anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing, intelligence analysts, data analytics professionals, and computer forensic and e-discovery specialists
- Analyze financial data and other relevant information related to business operations (including anti-fraud controls) and allegations of financial crime
- Identify issues and recommend solutions to project teams
- Generate insights from analysis from different types of data
- Assist in drafting fact-based reporting, building recommendations to improve fraud prevention and anti-money laundering capabilities, and visualizing data.
- Learn from deep subject matter experts through mentoring and on the job coaching
- Be empowered to lead and have an impact with clients, our communities and in the office
About the team
Deloitte’s team of Financial Crime professionals advises clients on a wide range of financial crime issues and concerns. Our team identifies and investigates a wide range of financial crimes including allegations of fraud, money laundering, bribery and corruption, other financial irregularities and regulatory issues impacting clients in Canada and worldwide across all industries. We apply a variety of quantitative and qualitative techniques to analyze and mitigate alleged incidents and misconduct, identify the participants, secure evidence, locate/recover misappropriated assets and bring about a timely resolution to financial litigation.

You are someone who is/has:
- Enrolled in a post-secondary degree in accounting, business administration, economics, criminal justice, criminology, or a related field. Candidates pursuing their CPA designation are preferred. Candidates from other quantitative disciplines can be considered.
- Proven analytical skills and systematic problem-solving abilities
- An inclusive team player who is passionate and motivated
- An excellent communicator and relationship builder
- Curious and comfortable with ambiguity
- A self-starter and able to conceptualize creative approaches and solutions
- Is eligible to obtain a secret security clearance with the Government of Canada
- To be eligible for this role, you must be graduating in December 2025 or later
- Some level of travel may be required
Quebec Location: We require basic English language skills to meet the needs of our clients. In the context of mandates, you could work for clients with activities outside of Quebec and where the first language is English.
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $47,000.00 - $61,000.00, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
