Our consulting team at Deloitte helps multiple clients replace, upgrade or maintain technology systems. In fact, current market need for services is so high, we have built a dedicated world-class team to help us meet this demand. It is called the Canadian Delivery Centre (CDC) and is located in Canada’s main bilingual business centre, Montreal.

As an infrastructure consultant in the CDC at the architect level, you will manage a team that oversees, designs and supports new infrastructure technology solutions for our clients, leveraging leading cloud service providers (ex: AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.). We will count on you to manage clients to define their requirements and design quality infrastructure architecture based on best practices. Basically, we will expect you to work with your team and clients across the entire solution’s lifecycle, including post-implementation support.

The role:

  • Lead requirements gathering meetings ensuring best practices are following and technology needs can be met
  • Understand the impact of design decisions on overall infrastructure functionality
  • Determine infrastructure design based on client needs
  • Guide an infrastructure team to document design specifications, testing scripts and other technical documentation
  • Manage deployment of an infrastructure solution to production
  • Lead post implementation infrastructure support activities as it pertains to incidents, change requests, and maintenance
  • Suggest adjustments to the infrastructure based on client requirements, performance needs, or opportunities for system improvement
  • Lead change management processes for infrastructure (e.g. submit changes for CAB approval, review changes suggested by our Cloud Managed Services (CMS) team)
  • Oversee work of our CMS team to deliver project infrastructure requirements
  • Responsible for infrastructure-related SLM and reporting
  • Responsible for the creation, maintenance and adherence to a disaster recovery plan, capacity plan, compliance plan and architectural roadmap
Qualifications

You have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or a college degree in computer science, engineering or similar
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or minimum cumulative CRC of 27 or more
  • 5-8 years’ experience delivering cloud infrastructure services, within a client context preferred
  • Good problem solving, critical thinking & analytical skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environments
  • Experienced in systems troubleshooting system issues
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Domain Services Troubleshooting; Windows and Linux OS Administration tools
  • Possess infrastructure certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, GCP Associate or MS Azure Professional)
  • Must be eligible for Canadian government Secret (Level II) security clearance
