Our Accounting Services Group is currently seeking a senior manager in tax compliance. This is an excellent opportunity if you wish to join a dynamic and challenging work environment.

As a senior manager, you will:

  • Work as a team in order to provide senior tax advice to help our clients with sound tax management;
  • Preparation and review of tax provisions;
  • Supervise the preparation of complex tax returns;
  • Plan and lead engagements including structuring corporate investment, developing acquisition strategies and tax compliance;
  • Identify and define new tax service opportunities to our clients, and have good business sense;
  • Deliver exceptional client service by maximizing results and obtaining high performance from people while fostering collaboration across business and borders;
  • Influence clients, teams and individuals positively, leading by example and establishing relationships of trust;
  • Understand key objectives for clients and Deloitte, and align our people to these objectives to set priorities and an appropriate direction;
  • Proactively take relevant and valuable tax ideas to our clients;
  • Actively mentor and coach team members to their highest potential;
  • Create a learning environment through leadership;
  • Participate in developing and delivering training programs.

Qualifications

  • Have a professional accounting designation, or equivalent;
  • Master’s degree in taxation or completion of the CICA In-Depth Tax Course;
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Senior Tax Manager, including thorough knowledge of tax recognition standards;
  • Dedication to professional and client service excellence;
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills (English and French);
  • Proven skills in delivering the full cycle of project management accountabilities;
  • Ability to anticipate the long term impact of all decisions and take a broad approach to problem solving.
