What will your typical day look like?

Our consulting team at Deloitte helps multiple clients replace, upgrade or maintain their Choose an item. systems. In fact, current market need for these services is so high, we are building out a dedicated world-class team to help us meet this demand. It is called the Canadian Delivery Centre (CDC) and Deloitte is building this capacity in Canada’s main bilingual business center, Montreal.

As you become more senior, we will also turn to you to lead project workstreams and coordinate with other streams, take leadership in mentoring and training junior staff, and act as a focal point when queries arise regarding solution capabilities and functionalities.

Technology solutions, and are driven to learn about them and keep up with market evolution. They possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, are comfortable working remotely with colleagues and clients, enjoy working with and coaching junior staff, and have an understanding of software development and/or configuration principles

The selected candidate will deliver technology solutions leveraging strong technical experience to architect, engineer and provide guidance in delivery of key Salesforce.com related initiatives.

About the team

As a Manager in the CDC, you will be part of a team that delivers new technology solutions or upgrades to our clients. We expect that you will help clients define their requirements and provide solutions for any gaps identified, design, develop or configure solutions independently to meet the requirements, provide configuration insights to clients based on previous experience, troubleshoot errors found during testing, etc. Basically, we expect you to play a key solution delivery role across the entire implementation cycle.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you
  • Oversee solution design and delivery of Salesforce.com features, including integration with 3rd party applications

  • Provide technical guidance and be a technical mentor to the Salesforce team
    Develop customized solutions to support critical business functions and meet project objectives

  • Analyze highly complex requirements, provide coding direction to other Salesforce developers and develop high quality code with supporting unit test and automation tests

  • Organize and lead technical design sessions and prepare technical design documentation for features planned for a release

  • Administer, customize and configure Salesforce features including but not limited to Profiles, Roles, Users, Page Layouts, Workflows, Reports, Dashboards, Objects, Fields, Record Types, Validation Rules, etc.

  • Audit, identify, and resolve data integrity issues using tools such as duplication management tool and Dataloader

  • Use SOQL when needed to write queries and analyze data

  • Help define technical standards and guidelines for Salesforce
     
  • Qualifications
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills – this role is heavily collaborative.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or similar is required
    5+ years’ experience working as a developer/architect in Salesforce.com

  • 5+ years experience with HTML, JavaScript, SOQL, SOSL, SQL, XML, jQuery, APEX, Visualforce, Apex and Lightning.

  • Experience with agile development and methodologies

  • Experience integrating Salesforce with 3rd party applications not available in app exchange

  • Knowledge of security concepts (authentication, encryption, SSL, single-sign on, etc.)Salesforce Certification

  • A CRM system wizard, particularly with regards to SalesforceTravel required (20% at best)
