Deloitte Internal Audit services help boards and senior executives better manage enterprise risks. Our professionals help organizations enhance the effectiveness, quality, and value received from internal audit. Our broad understanding of risks and areas of operational improvement, particularly the nuances of specific industry sectors and markets, can help internal audit functions improve their performance, operating efficiency and bring value to their organizations.

Our Montreal Risk Advisory practice is looking to add Senior Consultants to our team to focus on serving our clients with internal audit/control services. As a Senior Consultant, you will:

  • Assist organizations in preparing risk assessments and development of internal audit plans and projects in an outsourcing or co-sourcing arrangement
  • Develop audit programs, working papers, and internal audit reports; deliver projects from planning to closure and perform first review of team member’s work
  • Identify issues, develop mitigation plans, communicate key findings to process owners and management
  • Draft detailed internal audit reports with clear and concise observations (based on identified issue), identify and assess the risk and provide recommendations
  • Provide value-added and relevant analyses of an organization's governance, risk management and internal control structure, performance, and efficiency.
  • Utilize leading edge technology and data analytics toolsets to continually learn and deliver business insights to our clients.
  • Assist with conducting Quality Assessment Reviews (QAR)
  • Assist with the creation of proposals and other business development initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external subject matter experts and data analysts.

External Posting Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in an appropriate field
  • Relevant professional qualification, or willingness to pursue a professional designation (e.g. CPA , CISA or CIA)
  • 3 - 5 years of internal audit, external audit, operational audit and or evaluation of internal controls experience. Internal audit experience is preferable.
  • Relevant experience in key operational areas including supply chain, operations, engineering in the oil and gas industry
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Effective report writing skills
  • Strong listening skills – understand stakeholder perspective and outcomes
  • Experience with data mining/analysis/visualization tools, including SQL, Tableau, ACL and SAP HANA, and proven ability to perform meaningful data analytics across a wide variety of business operations and processes is an advantage
  • Ability to thrive in a pressure driven environment in order to meet commitments
  • Multi-tasking and effective time management skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
