What will your typical day look like?

As an Analyst for corporate Finance you will assist in executing and closing mid-market, private company M&A transactions, prepare financial models, transaction and marketing documents. You will also conduct industry research and various financial analysis to understand the client’s business and its drivers and develop proactive pitch presentations on actionable M&A opportunities. You will liaise with client executives, lawyers and financial professionals as required and assist in building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients.

Deloitte Corporate Finance Inc. (DCF) provide strategic advisory services and M&A advice that help corporate, entrepreneurial and private equity clients create and act upon opportunities for liquidity, growth and long-term advantage.

With an understanding of the marketplace and access to a global network of investment bankers, DCF helps clients pursue strategic transactions in both domestic and global markets.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

 

Ideal candidates will possess most or all of the following:

  • Completed undergraduate degree in finance, engineering, or closely related fields with outstanding academic credentials or a Master degree in finance or completion/in progress of the CFA designation (an asset)
  • 1 – 2 years of relevant work experience (internship included)
  • Knowledge and interest in finance / M&A acquired through education or work experience
  • Sound financial modeling and valuation experience
  • Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines
