What will your typical day look like?
As a Senior Resource Specialist aligned to Tax, you will be involved with regular staff and team interactions, manage staff availability and execution of all staffing processes, including communication to all relevant stakeholders, follow-up on proposed engagement opportunities, make staffing recommendations based on skill-set and availability, as well as recommend alternative staffing. You will build lasting relationships with your offering leadership team and practitioners and contribute to the growth and development of the practice.
Apart from supporting business teams, you will also have the opportunity to Support firm-wide and Resource Management initiatives focused on process improvement, efficiency, and client satisfaction. We as a team are passionate about service and continuously strive to deliver the best client and people experience possible
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Leverage resource management systems and tools to effectively schedule, oversee, and monitor resources, with a particular focus on proactive planning, maximize utilization and resolving scheduling conflicts.
- Collaborate with project managers, leaders and RM’s to evaluate resource needs for upcoming projects, monitor project timelines and resource utilization to ensure timely delivery of objectives.
- Maintain a strong understanding of practitioner interests and preferences and stay closely connected to them to be aware of personal circumstances and changes in these preferences
- Assist the broader RM team with adhoc tasks and contribute with streamlining processes and improving efficiency in resource allocation.
- Maintain a general understanding of Deloitte businesses and business areas

You’ll be part of the National Resource Management team supporting the Tax & Legal practice. Our team values collaboration, diversity, and supporting each other and the Tax practice throughout the year.

You are someone who is/has:
Required
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English - (Due to the nature of the role having interactions with National & Global clients, English is required for this position)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a resource management, project management, or recruitment role preferably within a professional services environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, charts), and a willingness to learn new technologies
Nice to Have
- Strong relationship-building and conflict resolution skills, with experience working with leaders at all levels.
- Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $69,000 - $114,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
