What will your typical day look like?

  • Networking with senior government leaders and private executives to identify opportunities to provide Economic Advisory services in the region
  • Leading the development of proposals to prospective clients based in Alberta
  • Collaborating with Deloitte professionals across Canada and the world to deliver Economic Advisory projects in Alberta
  • Supporting recruitment and talent development of Economic Advisory team members in Alberta
  • Supporting Economic Advisory practice development in Canada, including business planning and execution of internal initiatives

About the team

Our Economics team provides a range of economics advisory services to our clients, including:

  • Economic development strategy
  • Economic impact analysis
  • Cost-benefit analysis
  • Labour market analysis
  • Business economics and scenario planning
  • Macroeconomic analysis and forecasting, and
  • Policy advisory

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

  • Graduate degree in Economics or a closely related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a professional service environment or senior government role
  • Strong existing relationships within the government and private sector in Alberta
  • Deep understanding of the Alberta economy and key economic sectors (public sector, oil and gas, mining, manufacturing, etc.)
  • Ideally based in Edmonton or Calgary
  • An existing book of business is preferred but not mandatory
