What will your typical day look like?

 

We are looking for an experienced treasury operations and transformation Manager/Sr Manager to join our fast growing treasury advisory practice where you will bring subject matter expertise around Treasury strategies, processes, organizational transformation and implementation of treasury management systems to our client services team. 


You will be joining a team of over 550 Global Deloitte Treasury professionals who focus exclusively on corporate treasury operations, transformations, technology solution assessment, selection and implementation, financial risk management strategies, M&A due diligence and post-merger integration. This position will focus on business opportunities, growing the practice and strengthening existing client relations through advisory services, solution design and delivery. This position provides an excellent opportunity to:


•    Manage overall day-to-day engagement risk, client communications, and teams on client engagements
•    Lead the development, selection, and tailoring of approaches, methods and tools to support Corporate Treasury advisory services; includes leading discussions with senior client executives (CFO, Treasurer, SVP of Tax, etc.) across multiple functions that could affect treasury (AP, AR, Tax, IT, Payroll, etc.)
•    Actively participate in decision making with engagement management and seek to understand the broader impact of current decisions 
•    Generate innovative ideas and challenge the status quo 
•    Play substantive/lead role in engagement planning, economics, and billing 
•    Play substantive role in the training and development of staff 
•    Evaluate, counsel, mentor and provide feedback on performance of others 
•    Play substantive/lead role in retention of professionals and in building staff complement, mix, and recruiting 
•    Identify and evaluate business and technology Treasury opportunities and risks within client organizations
•    Play substantive role in enhancing internal (across Deloitte Global Network) and external relationships 
•    Demonstrate knowledge of treasury market trends 
•    Build and nurture positive working relationships with clients with the intention to exceed client expectations 
•    Understand clients' Treasury business environment, challenges and opportunities for improved operating model, process and enabling technologies 
•    Participate and lead proposal development efforts 
•    Proactive leadership of market development initiatives and thought leadership
•    Membership and visibility in relevant professional organizations 

About the team

Deloitte’s Treasury Advisory team works with CFOs, CIOs, CROs, Treasurers and others within the treasury organization to address key business challenges and enhance all aspects of treasury operations and controls. We differentiate ourselves by combining deep Treasury business experience with exceptional Treasury technology expertise in one team. Our team is comprised of specialists in cash and liquidity management, foreign exchange, financial risk and controls, debt and investments management, policies, governance, and treasury technology. We are recognized in the industry as a leader in both Treasury Advisory consulting. 

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with: 
 
•    7-10 years’ experience in at least one of the following: Treasury Operation, Cash Management, Debt/Investment management,  Treasury Technology, Financial Risk Management (FX, interest rate, commodity risk management), Capital Management
•    Hands on experience in Treasury Strategy/Transformations and Treasury Management System (TMS) implementations – ie Kyriba, FIS, ION are preferred
•    4+ years of Management Consulting Experience preferred
•    Strong writing and effective communication skills 
•    MBA, CTP or CFA designation preferred
•    Project Management experience 
•    Authorized to work within Canada
•    Ability to travel short term, on occasion within Canada, to work on client assignments
